As an older student, Dean helped me realize the fun is in playing the music. With his guidance, I backed off the scales and drills and focused in on songs. Such a great resource of all kinds of music. The transformation of listening to music and trying to memorize the parts to hearing music and finding a way to play along. JAM Loudoun has my highest recommendation!

I highly recommend! Dean Maged has been teaching guitar and music to my 7-year-old grandson over the past year. He has conducted lessons both online and in person. My grandson has enjoyed the lessons and made progress. However, as a retired educator, I have been impressed with his teaching abilities. (It takes one to know one!) Dean has excellent knowledge of his subject area. I have seen strong evidence of his pre-lesson preparations as well as his ability to adjust his plans when necessary because of his student or any of those outside disruptions we have all dealt with over the past year. I am also impressed by his ability to work with and relate to children, to remain enthusiastic with beginner level exercises, and to transition between formats.

Dean has a true gift in teaching music. He meets my son, who has special needs, where he is at and magically weaves a music lesson into his very fun sessions. I honestly can't give enough praise both his ability and he kindness. He is both a gifted musician and teacher and his love for music is contagious. We highly recommend!
