It was our first time in a studio so I can't compare to others. I can tell you that Matt is a great guy and knows his stuff. He has a ton of pedals to get the tone you are looking for on your track.

I am the frontman for the band Pistol Whip and we recently recorded our debut single at Gem City Studios with Matt McQueen. This was not a decision that we took lightly. However, after nearly a year of searching for the perfect fit for us we made the decision to go with Gem City Studios and it’s one of the best band decisions we’ve made to date. Matt not only has all of the technical abilities necessary for music production but he also possesses the intangibles that can’t be taught. In closing, the highest compliment I can pay Matt is that he has been the first, and only, producer to capture a song exactly how it was conceived in my head, as well as tirelessly accommodating my obsessive nature and endless requests. Gem City Studios is incredible! Matt is very professional and an all around cool dude. The studio has a unique look and perfect vibes for recording any project. Matt makes the recording process personal, enjoyable, and encourages you as a musican to be the best you can be. The final product is always top notch! I travel 7 hours just to record with Matt, and I’d double that if I had to! Gem City Studios is where it’s at!
