Called this dude to ask for photos of the studio to make sure in advance that is wasn't a bogus claim and also to make sure he doesn't have some outdated equipment (I experienced before with an old man with huge tracks from like the 1970s), since he only includes a photo of a random house with no equipment nor website, nothing. And dude sounded all defensive and claimed he had done some recent upgrades, yet resisted sending photos and then started deflecting the attention and asking if I knew how to sing and I'm like thinking "duh, someone obviously wants to record". Dude seems shady and controlling. I would avoid this spot.

If I could give this experience less than one star I would. Because it doesn't deserve even one star. Before coming, I called to see if he could accommodate 4 people to record a podcast, with 4 mics. He didn't know what a podcast was which is understandable, it's a fairly new medium, especially in Killeen. He asked me to stop by to explain because he couldn't understand over the phone. Stopped by the next day only for him to make the situation more difficult. He told me he had a piano in his booth that he wasn't going to move at all. Which I believed to be rude but I told him that it would be okay. I only needed an hour to record a conversation/interview. He also said he was thinking to see if it's worth the hassle to set up that many microphones. I thought this was a place of business. W

my cousin and i did a album, here, years ago in this studio. I could've been mad at him for telling us we weren't ready and this is a studio to do professional music but i wasn't. i learned so much from him that he didn't have to share with me. its 10 years later and i thank him for being truthful with us and trying to teach us the industry. what producer out there will ask you constantly if you were satisfied with what you've done and if you aren't happy we can do this song until you are. None. i'm going back to this studio and do what i should've done years ago. don't get mad at the person helping you do your music when he says something you don't like. this will be a time that a customer wasn't right. you get what you put in not what you paid for.
