Benito is an excellent, positive teacher who understands how to meet his student exactly where they are and tailor lessons to be engaging and informative. He breaks concepts/systems into manageable pieces, which isn't the same for every talented musician. Teaching is a critical skill for learning music, and Benito has it down -- he's fun, casual, chatty, and very knowledgeable. I used to represent musicians in a former life, so I'm picky. So happy I switched to learning keyboard and guitar with him at Rocky Mountain Academy of Music. The place is casual, lively, and full of happy students. Great value for the price.

Since starting lessons, my daughter not only practices with enthusiasm but frequently talks about how “playing the piano makes me so happy.” She finds real joy in each note she learns 😊 She’s calmer, more focused, and proud of her progress every week. Rocky Mountain Academy of Music has been such a wonderful part of our lives since we started taking lessons there almost 7 months ago. First, my then 4 year old son started taking piano lessons. It’s hard to keep him focused, and with hardly any practice he has learned all the notes on the keyboard and is beginning to read and play sheet music! He has also been welcomed to explore so many other instruments beyond the piano, like saxophone, guitar, and drums by the teachers there! I started with drum/percussion lessons there 5 months ago and I’m learning a lot and having such a blast! Thank you to our piano teacher and our drum teachers, Mr. Benito, Mr. Dan, and Mr. Dewey for helping us make music part of our lives! We love and highly recommend this place!
