Goose Room is the #1 place I recommend to musicians looking for a professional studio, an excellent producer in Rain Johannes, and a mix that brings your music to life. Rain’s hospitality, professionalism, and passion for the music instantly made us all feel extremely comfortable in the space, and his ability to get the best performance out of everyone is awe-inspiring. It’s truly everything I’ve look for in a collaborative experience with a producer. I just recorded 2 projects there and I’m already clearing my schedule so I can come back ASAP for the next project. Again, I cannot praise this studio and producer highly enough!

While there are several very good recording studios on Staten Island, (I have worked in most) The Goose Room, besides being well equipped, comfortable, intimate, clean, with an outside courtyard to clear your head, has one thing no other studio has, Rain Johannes. Not only is the very chill Rain qualified as an engineer, producer, sound man and part time magician, he is an excellent musician and songwriter himself, and willing to use his abilities to aid your project (I use him often) should you need. I have been working at the Goose Room over a year now, and what I know is this. I am a really good songwriter who many years was signed with United Artist. My band Our Own Yokos has been tracking with Rain at Goose Room for years, starting with our singles "Sir Chunk," "Painted Lines," and "Deriving Dariya." As a rock band that pulls from blues, the Beatles, and Led Zeppelin, we need someone who understands that classic sound but can keep things sounding modern and crisp—Rain nails this balance every time. Rain has also mixed everything we've thrown at him, and the results are consistently fantastic, bringing that warm, timeless quality we're chasing.
