I’ve been working with Richard for the past year and a half and it’s been a wonderful experience. He is always very helpful, kind, and willing to do whatever it takes to make your recordings sound great and top quality. He reminds of Rick Rubin and Jeff Lynne. The Jeff Lynne side is that he has a good ear for what anything should sound like, making sure it’s in time and in tune, and a bit meticulous and perfect. The Rick Rubin side is that he’s a very big fan of it sounding very organic and feels alive, human, and real. Real meaning you can tell that a person is playing the instrument or doing the music and doesn’t just sound like the sound of the instrument. Have had the honor of recording here with Richard Rupert for over 13 years. There is a reason why him and Green Valley Recording are still going when most recording studios have closed their doors. He is an incredible sound engineer with a lot patience and an amazing ear for timing, melody and mix. Among many other qualities, just a great person to work with and a amazing studio to work in.
