I've had the privilege to be Charlie's friend before sending my son to his music class. Charlie is not only a great person in heart, he is so passionate about what he is doing and cares so much about his students, as if they are his own kiddos. His music skills are great and he makes the sessions very engaging and fun. We have started learning music for my 6 year old son for about 3 months ago and he is super excited to see uncle Charlie on Wednesday and so excited to learn music. I would highly recommend Charlie and Mountain Boogie if you want yourself or your kid to have a fabulous musical experience!

My more than 10 years as an adult piano student of Charlie Lumpkins has been an amazing musical journey. From the early basics to simple classical pieces to more complex music, Charlie has been a wonderful and patient mentor. Each lesson is conducted in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Charlie has encouraged me to follow my musical interests then helped me to accomplish as much as my skill and hard work would allow. (We even did a fun mash-up of a classical piece and a jazz-rock song.) He has a wide-ranging background in the many styles and traditions of piano music and is an experienced player capable of very challenging composers. My daughter has been with Mr. Charlie for over 3 years and she is very please with Mr. Charlie. With his classes she’s able to practice and play some of her favorite songs. Charlie is passionate about his teaching music which makes it fun and enjoyable.
