John did an amazing job restoring my Papa’s violin and even played it for me so I could hear it for the first time ever (since I don’t know how to play). It was a really special, meaningful moment and I’m so thankful for the wonderful work he did and how thoughtful he was to play it for me.

Fantastic music shop with a great collection of banjos and guitars. They work with a local artist to create custom guitars that are absolutely worth checking out. John is knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!!

Great store with a variety of vintage and hand built guitars. The owner, however, was rude and passive aggressive when I picked one of the guitars up to play. He stood over me stating “I would ask before you touch other people’s stuff” and “this isn’t guitar center.” I’m a guitarist of 7 years, I handle any instrument, regardless of importance or price, with delicacy and respect. It’s his business, his house, his rules, and I respect that but, there are nicer ways to go about enforcing these rules. If you’re going to have a $12,000 Gibson on a rack and you don’t want people to touch it, put up a sign! Put it in a case or at the very least, lock it up with a steel cable.
