Ed was a lucky find for me. After three banjo "teachers" that would spend an hour talking about the philosophy of banjo, forgetting we had a Zoom session, not able to explain what they were playing, or just plain noodling on any instrument while I tried to clumsily pluck away I said "no mas". After a year or so, I knew I needed lessons. I proceeded with obvious trepidation after researching Ed's pedigree and was delighted to meet a talented, accomplished musical artist that, not only had a mastery of banjo and guitar, but was a born teacher: patient, understanding, reassuring, calm, organized; knowledgeable about music AND theory AND history. I have always suffered from "performance anxiety" in these settings- Ed has graciously removed that for me. I can attest that Ed is an excellent teac

Ed is a master. He can teach all modes and styles. Hard rock, classic oldies 60s to 2000 s Theory, knowledge of gear and his relative pitch can transcribe just about any song

I am in the first couple years of my guitar journey and Ed has been an amazing guide and teacher. The learning process he employs has been powerful for me; learning to Travis pick, starting to learn some blues, adding lots of different chords, 7ths, etc, musical theory and having a ton of fun accomplishing the above with new songs while creating an awesome musical pathway.
