I came into his sessions with no prior experience with vocal lessons, not knowing how this will go. But I'm so glad that Brent was the first teacher I received lessons from. Brent is an exceptional vocal coach - he has truly changed my concept of singing, taught me a healthier and safer way to sing, and changed my voice just within 9 lessons. He really helped with visualizing the "invisible" instrument. He also has a very sharp ear to listen for when things are being done correctly/incorrectly, and he's quick to readjust the way you sing to help avoid bad habits. I'm truly grateful for his expertise, passion, and gracious nature. Thank you, Brent!

Brent is a great teacher! 20 years ago, I had voice lessons with Brent for over a year mostly focusing on pop songbook songs. Recently, we had a number of sessions because I was singing songs from the 60's and 70's and I was having trouble producing the best voice I can thought I was capable of. I've had voice lessons before Brent, but the teachers were either classical or Broadway or one particular style. Brent can teach anyone in any style with any level of vocal expertise. His teaching method, then and now, focuses on getting your best vocal sounds. This includes learning how to sing words that have two vowels sounds in the same syllable, understanding how to breath through phrases, producing resonance in your head and not singing from your throat, using head voice, full voice and a m

I took lessons with Brent for over 2 years, and my singing (and my confidence) improved in ways I never could've imagined. He really took the time to understand my goals, and lessons with him were always fun! It's clear how much he cares about his students. Beyond that, he helped me record and produce an original song for the first time. I only stopped taking lessons because I moved out of the Boston area, but even now I still plan to occasionally meet with him remotely! I can't thank Brent enough for all that he's done for me.
