I impulsively bought a banjo off Facebook during the pandemic and immediately fell in love with the sound of the instrument. I had no prior musical experience but I have always wanted to be able to play music with people. I attempted to learn banjo from YouTube videos, but that proved to be really difficult. Eventually, I decided I wanted to take my playing more seriously. I started taking lessons with Daniel over a year ago and I wish I would’ve started sooner! He has a deep understanding of music and is great at communicating this knowledge to his students. In addition to banjo, he teaches guitar, vocals, and drums! My 9 year old son has been taking guitar lessons with Daniel for several months and he loves. Daniel is patient and makes it exciting to play and develop new skills. We are really grateful for Daniel and his teaching!

I started taking guitar lessons with absolutely no knowledge of how to play guitar. none. zero. zilch. When I started I was nervous and embarrassed because it’s hard to be terrible/new at something in front of someone else. However, Daniel has always made me feel comfortable during our sessions and has created a judgement free environment for me to make mistakes and learn. His approach is relaxed, patient and encouraging. I would recommend him to beginners and more experienced players alike.
