My daughter is diagnosed with autism and had an interest in playing the drums at a very early age. One of my many concerns was that she struggles to listen, and we require patience from her teachers because we understand that teaching her can be frustrating. However, Aaron at Heathen’s Music Lab not only showed great patience, but also altered the lessons to fit how she learns best. After almost a year with Aaron as her teacher, my daughter has greatly improved at the drums. She is always super excited and constantly reminds me when her drum lessons are coming up. While the name is a bit edgy, the teachers at Heathen’s Music Lab are some of the most welcoming and kind people. We love Heathens! We’ve tried several teachers in town but had struggles finding someone that would connect well with our daughter who is autistic. We found Heathens by a simple google search and did a tour with one of the owners Ian, he was fantastic. We have since signed up for a membership and have to drag our daughter out of that place at the end of her lessons. They truly foster a love for music and have created such a great environment for all ages to come together and celebrate music.

I have a family membership for myself and my best friend! Ian has been super great teaching us guitar/bass, and is super willing to accommodate last minute schedule changes. I absolutely love my membership, my lessons are the highlight of my week. I love having the practice space available to book.
