Tacoma Music Lab is nothing short of incredible. Truly. My 7-year-old son started piano at a different school when he was 6. He can be challenging and, after the first few lessons, started resisting the experience entirely. But, knowing my son, I knew it wasn't the piano itself. I heard about Michael's school through a friend, and I'm so grateful I did -- my son has positively blossomed here, and he loves playing. He has never once complained about going to class, or practicing. Michael is firm but kind, has high expectations while being supportive and nuturing, and has truly created a one-of-a-kind program that is both effective and fun. My son is going into his 3rd year working with Michael at the Tacoma Music Lab. He has loved every minute of the program. The group lesson format has been great for developing a little community of piano players. Michael is always great at communicating with parents and having fun performances for the students to showcase their progress. I recommend this school to anyone with a child who is interested in piano.

My 11 year-old son has been with Tacoma Music Lab since he was 7 and possibly until finally he goes to college! Michael is not only an exceptional piano teacher but also an amazing mentor and inspiration to our son in appreciating and nurturing his love for music in a deeper core. With a combination of skills, knowledge and professionalism, Michael has provided a structured environment for kids and adults to meet learning needs according to their skills level. Personally, as a parent, communication is imperative for me. And Michael through the years has always been approachable and responds promptly with any matter concerning my son. Not to mention the flexibility he provides to parents when it comes to scheduling - so stress free! But what I value the most is the opportunity for students
