The vibe of the cottage is great, very welcoming and comfortable. The gear is awesome, with a combination of cool vintage instruments and the latest in recording equipment. But people (and dogs) make records, and that is really where Dirt Floor excels. They bring creativity, support for the musical vision, and humor to the forefront. Eric, as a producer, is a fantastic musician with boundless ideas, an openness to following a musical path, and the honesty to bring valued opinions into the conversation. Recording my latest album at Dirt Floor was a focused and inspiring experience that allowed my sound to emerge at its most honest. Eric brought a rare level of creative professionalism and presence to this process, fully immersed in the music and attentive to every detail. His intuitive ear, broad musical talents, and sheer dedication truly shaped the process and made magic for us. Not to mention the beauty in the surrounding property, the charm of the studio itself and the atmosphere that Eric has cultivated. It was a special experience recording at Dirt Floor, and I'm very proud of what I got from it.

Step inside, and you're wrapped in a cozy embrace of worn wood and vintage vibes. My time recording there was magical, thanks to Eric M Lichter and his team of wizards. Eric is a force of nature, wielding multiple instruments prodigiously. His talent borders on the psychic—he'd read the shape and form of a song like an old trail map, adding layers of depth through seamless production and collaboration that turned our rough edges into something soul-stirring. Working with Dirt Floor also meant working the exquisite multi-instrumentalist and vocalist MorganEve Swain who collaborated on th
