It’s never too late to learn a music instrument! As an adult, I started taking piano lessons at the Black Hills Studio of the Arts. I was a “blank sheet of music” having zero background in music. But after one year I have completed two recitals and two extra little events (yes, joining the younger students in the nerves of performance, even if only for family and friends). Although still a beginner it’s been amazing to learn from these wonderful teachers and lovers of music. It makes my heart sing knowing how much they put into their students.

My daughter takes viola lessons from Lena, and has made tremendous progress since she has started. Lena makes the lessons fun and enjoyable, so my daughter always looks forward to them. I greatly appreciate the accommodation of virtual lessons due to the pandemic. Lena has also been very flexible about scheduling due to other scheduling conflicts. The price is very reasonable.

My daughter Molly has been receiving instruction from Mallory Decker for the past three and a half years. Molly was born with Down Syndrome and therefore has special learning needs. Mallory easily connected with her and because of the special bond they share Molly has maintained her love of music. She is now going into her sophomore year in high school, and plays the clarinet in concert band and marching band. 💗💙💜💚
