Rick is without a shadow of a doubt one of the most honest, professional, and sincere recording engineers in the city of Chicago. He brings a level of care and quality that is rare in general - and pretty much impossible to find at the affordable prices he charges. He is thoughtful, offering feedback only if you are looking for it; his approach of capturing authenticity in music is a breath of fresh air. In an industry where overproduction has become the standard, Rick works in service to the song. I will forever recommend working with this absolutely pro no matter the genre.

Handwritten Recording is one of those places I tell a lot of people about -- because it is genuinely an amazing place to create music. Yes, you record music there. But, it's a studio that provides the space where creativity thrives. I have had so much fun over several albums recording with Rick. It adds a tremendous amount of value to my music projects to be in a great studio with a professional, polished, savvy engineer with me every step of the way. Anyone looking for the next place to record in Chicago -- Handwritten Recording is that place.

I had a wonderful experience working on my most recent album at Handwritten Recording. Rick is one in a million…much, much more than just an engineer for your record. Every step of the way, Rick was supportive, encouraging, insightful and available. He throws himself full bore into your project, fighting right there in the trenches with you to get the very best out of your songs.
