Booked a session here to lay down vocals with my 18 yr old niece, a talented live singer who had never before recorded in a studio. It was her 1st time in CA and our 1st time singing together! Tim was excellent to work with, from his willingness to offer his time to us during the holidays, to providing an opportunity to tour the studio and chat with him beforehand, to the musical and technical expertise he demonstrated during our session. My niece relaxed right into the easy-going vibe of Mountain Dog Musicworks and we both appreciated Tim's personable style, generous nature and many talents. We watched him work efficiently and masterfully, helping us produce 4 songs in 3 hours with multiple harmony tracks! This studio is amazing, recorded my album here! Tim is very kind and hardworking, always respects your time and always makes sure you get the most out of each hour. Love the family atmosphere of the studio, I always have a great time there. He’s an excellent multi-talented musician (plays so many instruments, great arranger too) and teacher as well, truly does it all!

As a musician who has toured the world with "A List" Artists I have been privileged to perform and record with some of the best musicians in the world. Tim Frantz may not be a household name (Yet) but his knowledge of recording, guitar skills, and songwriting is top notch, and I would put him next to the best of the best any day. If you need to make a record and you have Taylor Swifts budget then go to the Record Plant in Hollywood, But if you don't... Mountain Dog Musicworks is the way to go !!!!!!!!!!
