Incredible atmosphere, and really kind and competent staff. I've gone to a couple of the NEO Pro jams they've hosted, and I would highly encourage anyone to record music there and/or attend a session

Mike (the owner) gave me a tour of the place and then we sat in the main control room for about 45 minutes and talked.Suma studio has a great room for recurring, big enough for a small orchestra. In addition to the large room, Suma has two or three isolated, small isolation booths for recording vocals. They have great mics and plenty of analog and digital gear. I highly recommend this studio.

In 1978 my band called Bull from Richmond VA had the opportunity to record our first LP at Suma. Ken, Paul & David Hamann were all 3 genius level humans as well as the kindest and most generous engineers I’ve ever worked with. Their patience and (never arrogant) advice during sessions was truly priceless. I’m not sure where David is but I know Ken and Paul will be missed forever.
